Not only can surgery be painful and keep you off your feet for as well, but it can also be a very expensive option.

There are several surgical alternatives, many of which have been available for several years now. Of course, you should discuss these options with your doctor. • Sympathectomy
  
  One of the oldest surgical options that have been around for nearly 80 years is the sympathectomy. What this medical procedure does is cut out the nerves that attach to the sweat glands. The nerves are what send the signal to the sweat duct to start the sweating process.
  
  Removing the nerves is a serious operation and a painful one as well. These nerves are far in the back of the chest and close to the spinal column.
  
• Removing The Sweat Glands
  
  As one of the various excessive sweating remedies, removing the sweat glands is one of the most successful approaches. It is only used to remove the sweat glands for underarm sweating, not for the hands or feet.
  
• Thorax Sympathectomy
  
  This procedure would not be one to recommend to anyone. It involves having to cut into the chest and separating the rib cage to get to the nerves and remove them. As you can only imagine this is very painful and will require a very long time to heal.
  
• Thoracoscopic Sympathectomy
  
  With this remedy for excessive sweating, small incisions are made under the arms where a microscopic camera is inserted. This camera is able to find the bundle of nerves where doctors can then go in and cut them out.

As far as excessive sweating remedies go, surgery should always be a final approach. Complications and side effects can always arise. There are many other remedies available, but at least you now know what some other options are in eliminating the problem.
